Building Back To Me
A women’s wellness app concept built around small daily actions, flexible plans and a softer visual direction.
I wanted to explore a women’s wellness app that would feel useful on an ordinary, busy day.
Back To Me starts with three manageable actions. You can choose a smaller version, make more room when you have it, move something to another day or pause a programme. Around that are habits, goals, meal planning, practical routines and a journal for notes, photos and small wins.
The visual direction is warm and relaxed: cream backgrounds, blush pink, plum text, rounded typography and a small ribbon logo. I wanted the everyday screens to feel as considered as the welcome page.
A lot of the work went into how those screens connect. Changing a plan keeps completed actions intact. An unfinished journal entry can be recovered. Pausing and returning to a programme preserves its place. Progress comes from the actions and check-ins actually recorded.
Built with React, Next.js and TypeScript, the concept runs in the browser with local storage and an offline fallback. Sample profiles make it easy to explore, and reminders are simulated.
